Sustainable mobility in Ibero Puebla, México. Initiatives and challenges

Abstract Within the framework of strengthening a sustainable, healthy, affordable, supportive, safe and diversified mobility system for university community, Ibero Puebla in Mexico works on consolidation cycling routes, pedestrianization collective transport. In this context, dialogue with municipal state authorities has been essential to materialize Comprehensive project Boulevard del Niño Poblano Inter-university digital electromobility pilot program, both developed gender perspective. The first one consists improving conditions public space connect different types transport, pacify traffic, create paths, bike lanes, while second one, offers students from three universities possibility sharing an electric minibus, routes oriented user demand, maximizing connectivity, continuous feedback access low coverage areas transportation. intervention fundamental so that secretariats at level coordinate projection budgeting project, as well articulate authorities, hand, offer interuniversity which decreases use electrical fossil, emission greenhouse gases, real option.
